The area surrounding the site is lined with signposted walks of varying difficulty and distance. Attractions are: (1) the confluence of the 2 Ourthes (beautiful loop walk of 10km +/- 2h30), (2) the magnificent walk around Lake Nisramont (loop walk of 16km +/- 5h), (3) a walk towards the Chouffe brewery (7.5km +/- 1h45 only). At the campsite we provide you with advice and hiking maps.

The campsite is also located on the most beautiful GR route of Belgium (GR 57 - routes Maboge-Engreux and Engreux-Houffalize-Bistain) and the Escapardenne - Eislek Trail passes nearby (106 km between Kautenbach and La Roche-en-Ardenne)

The area surrounding the campsite is a cycling paradise with numerous signposted routes that run past the campsite. The rocks and slopes around the Ourthe are very steep and form the perfect relief for the experienced mountainbiker. In a southerly direction, the landscape is more suitable for the less technical cyclist, but also very beautiful.

The Chouffe Brewery in Achouffe, known for its celebrated beers, is a pleasure to visit! From the campsite there is a beautiful walk of 7.5 km to this brewery.

The blond beer from the artisanal microbrewery Le Comte Hener in Mabompré is also highly recommended. A 10km loop walk starts from the campsite and passes through it.

The wolf beer 'Lupulus' is brewed in the adjacent municipality of Gouvy, which is drunk from the most beautiful glasses. Ideal outing for when the weather is not cooperating.

In the hamlet of Engreux there is nothing to see or experience. Or is it! The inn Le vieil Engreux, its owner and its sculptures are well worth a visit. The old cemetery and the beautiful houses in the Ardennes style also inspire.

Trails are also regularly organized in the area, such as the Chouffe trails, the Escapardenne trails, the Scott Xtrails.

Altimeters, curves and a changing landscape are a wonderful combination for every motorcyclist. Numerous picturesque destinations and intermediate stops (such as Durbuy) make the tours in the Ardennes even more interesting. Located 25 km from the border, you can also explore the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg and even the Eifel.

With an experienced guide on tour at dusk or early in the morning looking for deer, beavers, raccoons, etc.

The 2 Ourthes run through the landscape and converge to the Ourthe. The confluence of both rivers happen at the dam of Nisramont, where a beautiful lake is created. The area is wonderful for kayaking!

The Ourthe is formed at the confluence of the Ourthe Occidentale (Western Ourthe) and the Ourthe Orientale (Eastern Ourthe). She has a width of 15 m and a depth of 50 cm and is very beloved by fly fishers. There are also several fish ponds in the area.
